On Friday, Sept. 26, the Morristown Beard community came together to celebrate the annual Homecoming football game. Students, families, and faculty filled Burke Field to cheer on the Crimson in their matchup against The Dalton School. MBS came out on top with a 27-14 win.
Before kickoff, the community enjoyed a festive atmosphere complete with food and dessert trucks. The evening also featured the Football Senior Day ceremony, and the Crimson community was able to honor the football seniors for their hard work and dedication. On the electrifying night, the Crimson football team threw the opening snap, and the game was on its way!
JV Football Manager Colin Jeffery ‘28 shared, “The team played amazingly. They are very hardworking, and it was rewarding to see their growth.”
Homecoming wasn’t just about the football team; it also served as the Cross Country Senior Day. The cross-country team, along with other participants, ran the Kirby Mile around the track on Burke Field. Charlotte White ‘26 remarked, “The Kirby Mile was thrilling. I loved cheering on my classmates, especially the seniors on the cross country team!” Similar to previous years, the Kirby Mile was a fan favorite part of Homecoming.
The student section, packed with students from grades 6 – 12, was a sea of white for the night’s “White Out” theme. Rebecca Schwartz ‘26 said, “I had a great time cheering along with the rest of the student body.”
Quinn Jeffery ‘26 added, “The game was so much fun! I had such an amazing time cheering on our football team. I felt like the student section had an amazing sense of community.” Without a doubt, the game was exciting for spectators and players alike.
SGA President Daniel Raimer reflected, “It was beautiful to see so many of our student body in one place supporting each other. I hope that we can facilitate this attitude to continue throughout the remainder of the year.”
Ultimately, Homecoming 2025 was a heartwarming culmination of Spirit Week 2025.
