  • What is your idea of fun? — “Fun is going on a bike ride on a sunny, autumn day, with my family.” -Dr. Jalics, Math Department Chair

  • What is your ideal weekend trip? — “I would prefer a weekend trip to Vermont, that would be pretty sick. Especially now that winter is approaching and it’s getting colder, all the snow and mountains are great for snowboarding!” -Max Wayne ‘22

  • In your opinion, what is the most beautiful place on earth? — “The most beautiful place on earth is Todtnau, Germany, the black forest of South West Germany. It is absolutely gorgeous; it’s just rolling fields and trees, as far as the eyes can see. The people there are so nice. It’s not just beautiful because it’s natural green and amazing, but it’s great because of the community there and the experiences I’ve had.” -Julia Yermack ‘22

  • What is your favorite outdoor activity? — “Yes, I love the outdoors. My favorite outdoor activity is probably walking my dog or just being outdoors with my family.” -Miles Varbero 22

  • What was your least favorite food as a child? — “My least favorite food as a child was easily broccoli; my parents often had to resort to bribes to get me to eat it. Now, I wouldn’t say I hate it, but I also cannot eat it unless there’s a fair amount of string cheese melted on top of it.”-Mr. Brandon Jefferson [Class of 2009], Center for Teaching and Learning

  • What is your favorite thing you’ve bought this year? — “My favorite item that I have purchased this year has to be the Baby K’tan. The Baby K’tan is a stretchy baby carrier that’s easy to use and my daughter absolutely loves it. I couldn’t imagine being a functional parent without my K’tan.” -Mr. Matthew Loy, Admissions

  • If you could write a book, what genre would you write it in? — “I’ll read any genre, but I can definitely see myself writing a romance. Even if I planned to write a psychological thriller, knowing myself, I’d find a way to throw a romance in there somehow. At my core, I can’t help but be invested in reading and writing about relationships!”-Ms. Talia Chaves, Library

  • What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been offered? — “The best advice I ever got was from my therapist who said, ‘Dillan, life isn’t fair.’ I try to remember that whenever I feel entitled or lose perspective of the bigger picture. It helps me be more humble and grateful.”-Mr. Dillan DiGiovanni, Wellness

  • If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be? — “I would eat Panang Chicken Curry because it’s so tasty but also healthy. For dessert: MBS gluten-free chocolate chip cookies because they’re not too hard and not too soft.”-Ms. Stephanie Kealy, Upper School Science

  • If you could learn one new professional skill, what would it be? — “I would learn professional conflict management. I am educated in intercultural communication, but in the face of conflict, and perhaps partly because of my own cultural background, I tend to avoid it. I would like to learn how to handle conflict, make it meaningful, and help solve big intercultural miscommunications.”-Ms. Rita Moch Arias, Upper School Spanish
